The forming tap, also known as fluteless tap, for wire thread inserts helicoil has the particularity of creating the threads without cutting the material but by deforming it plastically. In this way, hole walls are hardened by this process and are able to withstand higher loads. The forming process is fast, does not produce chips and the surfaces are better than those obtained by cutting and furthermore the taps have a longer life

The TIN surface treatment (titanium-nitride gold-yellow) increases the surface hardness (approx. 2300 HV) and the sliding properties. It provides a better cutting performance and increased tool life time
