The Self-locking Tangless thread insert is identical in construction and operating principle to the regular Tangless thread insert, but it also offers a braking action on the screw thanks to the particular polygonal configuration of one or more turns of the insert thread. In this way, the screw remains tightened with absolute reliability even in the presence of vibrations or shocks. The anti-unscrewing braking action remains even after numerous screwing and unscrewing operations
