Compression limiters are unthreaded inserts for plastic reinforcement, used as reinforcing bushings in plastic housings to increase resistance to the tightening of screws and bolts.
The CL460 compression limiters are designed for mold-in installation in plastic housings. They have a butted-seam to prevent plastic from entering the inner diameter during the molding process, and a radial groove to ensure retention within the hole.
They are produced from high carbon steel, zinc plated and have a supplementary coating of trivalent passivation and an organic sealant for corrosion resistance.
The CL460 Oval compression limiter is similar to CL400 and have 2.25mm extra clearance on one axis, providing additional flexibility over round compression limiters for centreline and stack-up tolerancing.
The CL460 series is rated for use with bolts up to ISO Class 8.8 and is available in diameters ranging from M6 and M8. Special lengths and inch sizes can be supplied upon request.
