Rivet expansion plugs are sealing elements designed for the permanent sealing of machined holes in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
They consist of an expanding sleeve and an internal conical mandrel. During installation the mandrel is pulled using a dedicated installation tool, causing the sleeve to expand radially and anchor securely against the hole surface. When the required pulling force is reached, the mandrel breaks automatically at a predefined break point, leaving the plug firmly locked inside the hole.
These expansion plugs provide reliable sealing performance even under demanding conditions. They can be used as hydraulic circuit sealing plugs for pressures up to 480 bar, making them ideal for hydraulic pumps, pneumatic systems, engines, and machine tools.
The main advantage of this range is the possibility of fast automated installation, making it particularly suitable for medium and high-volume production. They are especially recommended for base materials with relatively low hardness.
Available for sealing holes from Ø4 to Ø10 mm.
Upon request, the version with extended mandrel length is also available, particularly suitable for applications with limited accessibility.
