Aluminium inserts for plastic S65, installed during the molding process
While brass remains a common industrial standard, 2024-grade aluminium is an excellent alternative thanks to its combination of strength, machinability, and cost-effectiveness. This aluminium alloy is lightweight (one-third the weight of brass), 40% stronger than brass, and lead-free. When choosing between brass and aluminium inserts, galvanic compatibility and other material properties should be considered
Suitable for installation in a wide range of thermoplastics and thermosets
The minor thread diameter tolerance is controlled to ensure correct positioning and perpendicularity of the insert on the core pin during the molding process
Series 65 has the same body as Series 63, but with a blind end that prevents plastic from entering
