- Compression limiters are unthreaded inserts for plastic reinforcement, used as reinforcing bushings in plastic housings to increase resistance to the tightening of screws and bolts.
- The CL6000 compression limiters are precision machined from 2024 aluminum, which provides the best balance of strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and cost. Compared to brass, aluminum is one-third the weight, 40% stronger, and completely lead-free, making it a reliable and lightweight solution.
- These limiters are suitable for both press-in and mold-in applications, including highly automated assembly processes. The precision-machined inner diameter ensures accurate seating on the core pin during molding, while the pilot design allows the part to stand freely in the hole before press-in installation. Once installed, the knurled surface provides secure retention within the plastic housing.
- The CL6100 version is identical to the CL6000, with the addition of a head. This design offers extra bearing surface on the mating component, particularly useful when a flanged bolt or washer is not used.
- The CL6000 and CL6100 series are rated for use with bolts up to ISO Class 10.9 and are available in diameters ranging from M3 to M10. Inch sizes and special lengths are available upon request.
